Why Jesus’ Death On The Cross Doesn’t Save You

The Typical Christian Mantra goes something like “Jesus’ Blood makes us blameless in his sight” or ” When GOD looks on us after accepting Jesus’ sacrifice all HE can do is smile & be pleased with us”

Not only is this very very dangerous & wrong theology, but it is insulting to the GODS that made us.

People get these ideas from the foolish apostles who wrote ” In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7) or ” We have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him! ” (Romans 5:9).

Jesus wasn’t really a half human half GOD hybrid. JESUS is fully GOD & only came to earth as a human like a kid dresses up as a monster for Halloween. The kid is still a kid, the fact that he put on a monster costume doesn’t make him one. In the same way, just because JESUS came as a baby to earth doesn’t make him human. HE clearly states this when HE said ” “before Abraham was born, I AM ” (John 8:58).

What did JESUS mean by saying I AM? Way back when Moses met YHWH for the first time at the burning bush, YHWH introduced HIMSELF as I AM. Why did YHWH pick this name? I AM is supposed to mean that GOD is a real GOD who: Controls everything, created everything (Including good & evil), has no beginning/end, is all powerful, all knowing, & the only kind of Being worthy of receiving all of our worship.

So what does this have to do with the cross?

Knowing that JESUS is fully GOD gives the cross a whole new meaning. Our GODs don’t need atonement sacrifices or the cross to forgive our sins. our GODS THEMSELVES forgive our sins, not a cross.

Has the atonement of sins ever really mattered?

No, & this is clearly shown in many areas of the bible but one good account is the David & Bathsheba sin where according to the tora David should have been executed for committing adultery & premeditated murder of Bathsheba’s husband Uriah. YHWH sent his prophet Nathan to confront David about his sin, and then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan replied, “The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die (2 Samuel 12:13). There is nothing that states that David went through the mandatory rituals to atone for his sins against YHWH.

IF the cross & Jesus’ blood doesn’t forgive us then why do it?

Jesus died on a cross for many reasons but of those the following 2 are the most important:

1 To introduce 2 new GODS (Jesus & The Holy Spirit) to a people who only believed there was only 1 true GOD in existence. Jesus claimed “I will raise myself back from the dead” HE didn’t say that YHWH will raise HIM from the dead.

2 Ancient jews, just like modern-day christians focused too much on rituals instead of heart attitudes, so Jesus abolished the use of the sacrificial system. Our GODS became fed up with how people like the pharisees turned the worship of GOD into a game of “I’m holier than you because I do all of the Holy things”.

Our GODS have always wanted our soul devotion & submission to THEM from the beginning.

In dealing with the rebellious ancient jews, YHWH stated time & time again that HE was fed up with their rebellious soul attitudes & how they were pretending to care about HIM when they secretly hated HIM in their hearts.

YHWH HIMSELF in the old testament stated:

“For I desire loyalty and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.” (Hosea 6:6)

“What are all your sacrifices to Me? I have had enough of burnt offerings and rams and the fat of well-fed cattle; I have no desire for the blood of bulls, lambs, or male goats.” (Isaiah 1:11)

And in Matthew 9 when Jesus was being mocked by the religious jewish preachers for hanging out with the low lifes of society, Jesus quotes Hosea when HE said: “Those who are well don’t need a doctor, but the sick do. Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Matt. 9:12-13).
