waiting in a dark corridor

In This Dark Corridor, Poem To God

Nobody’s shadow
Nobody’s shadow
I shout, into the hallowed space.
No response, no movement.
Nothing but the impatience of my heart,
& the sadness of my soul.

Nobody’s shadow
Nobody’s shadow
I look for Your glow but can’t.
I’m feeling stuck,
In this dark corridor.
Begging for You to come get me.

No more options,
No more patience.
I’m forced to sit & wait for You.

Just your gentle whisper in the wind.
Yearning for direction
but blinded by foolishness.
I’m stuck midway between
Who I used to be
& who you want me to be.
It’s hard to pick, between
My dreams & You.

Not sure which way to go, or
What path to take.
I’m waiting on You my God,
My Shepheard, my Master.

For it’s Your will or nothing at all.
Denying myself the foolishness
& accepting Your wisdom in its place.
